Rector Our Rector has recently retired after 12 years and we are in the process of looking for someone who can continue his good work. Views of our retired Rector. Hi you’ve reached my page. I’m Rector of Arley which means that I am employed to share the love of Jesus in the villages of Arley. I have been here for over 12 years and have been in ministry for over 32 years. But why I am here? Why do we as church members believe it is so important to worship God and share the love of Jesus?”

First is the person of Jesus. From my late teenage years I have found Jesus to be an immensely fascinating and inspiring person. I love the way He teaches, the way he builds up his group of friends (his disciples), the way he responds to people with absolute love and total honesty. He really is the most amazing person, such a wonderful person that St. Peter saw him as the fulfilment of Jewish hopes; many worshipped him as they said farewell and soon his followers came to believe that he had conquered death and evil. How and why did people begin to see a man who they had met and spoken with as the victor over evil and death? These are fascinating and life changing questions. I cannot stop thinking about them.
