Diocese – Massive Mini Church Project 2018

Coventry Diocese – Massive Mini Church Project

Coventry Diocese is 100 years old this year. As part of the celebrations, every church and church school in the diocese were invited to work together to make a model of their local parish church.

The children at Arley Churches have been very busy over the last few weeks making their cardboard models. St Michael’s model was made by Messy Church children and St Wilfrid’s by the Sunday Children’s Club.

The models were displayed during the weekend of the 10th and 11th of June at Coventry Cathedral on a 3D map of the Diocese, which includes the City of Coventry, the county of Warwickshire and small parts of neighbouring counties. As you can see from the photographs, it was a fascinating walk around the map and an impressive display of the amazing work that the community of our diocese has produced.
