The Book Club

We meet in fellowship to study the word of the Lord through the writings of the Holy Bible to deepen our understanding and faith

The Book Club, formerly known as the “Monday Group” meets in the Old Barn Centre usually on Monday evenings. It was formed in 2002 after most of us had completed an Alpha course and wanted/needed to continue our studies.

We are a group of friendly people, who try to understand more about God the Father, His Son Jesus our Saviour and the Holy Spirit, through studying the many facets of the Bible. We are an informal group and our studying is carried out over coffee and biscuits. Our doors are always open, so why not come and see for yourself what goes on. Everyone is welcome.

Over the past years we have studied a selection of the writings from both the Old and New Testaments from Genesis to Revelation, supported by published study books. We consider, as a group, exactly what we are being called to study and one of our members will take on the mantle of leader for that particular study.

We also have the opportunity on occasions, to hold our own small services of praise and worship in St. Wilfrid’s Church. During 2014 we held a special service of thanksgiving for all the fallen of the First World War.
