News from the Diocese of Coventry
Following her appointment as Interim Bishop of Coventry during the Vacancy –in-See period, the Right Reverend Bishop Ruth Worsley has made arrangements to visit the Ley Group parishes. People from the six churches are invited to meet her on Wednesday 6th March in The Barn at St Wilfrid’s at 4.00 p.m. (see below). Representatives will give short presentations to Bishop Ruth about church life in their parishes.
As part of her familiarisation with the Diocese, Bishop Ruth has been invited to a Nuneaton Deanery Gathering in St James’ Church Bulkington on Wednesday 13th March at 7.30 p.m. Anyone who worships in Nuneaton Deanery is invited to this event. There will be an opportunity to ask questions, share concerns and hear the latest updates for our Deanery.

18th February – First Sunday in Lent – Communion – St Michael’s Church – 10:30 a.m.
25th February – Second Sunday in Lent – Morning Worship – St Wilfrid’s Church – 10:30 a.m.
1st March – World Day of Prayer – St John’s Church, Ansley Common – 11:00 a.m.
3rd March – Common Worship Service – St. Michael’s Church 10:30 a.m.
6th March – Wednesday – St Wilfrid’s Church at 5.00 p.m. (Not the normal 7.30 p.m.).
You may wish to arrive at The Barn in St Wilfrid’s churchyard for 4.00 p.m. to meet Bishop Ruth Worsley. (See above.)
10th March – Mothering Sunday – Communion – St. Wilfrid’s Church
13th March – Wednesday there is a Deanery Service St Jame’s Church, Bulkington where members of all the churches in Nuneaton and Bedworth are welcome.
17th March – Passion Sunday – Communion at St, Michael’s
28th March – Maundy Thursday- There is the normal service starting with soup in the barn at 7:00pm and then at Communion in the St. Wilfrid’s Church
29th March – Good Friday there is service at 2:00 p.m. at St. Wilfrid’s Church (Jesus’s last hour
on the cross).
31st March – Easter Sunday – Communion at St Wilfrid’s Church – 10:30 a.m.
